Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) is an American company that owns the Chicago stock exchange of options and BATS Global Markets. It was established in 1973 as a subsidiary of the largest and oldest commodity exchange in the world - the Chicago Board of Trade. In 2010, it conducted an IPO and issued shares on the NYSE. NSX, the National Stock Exchange, was acquired in 2011. OWN bought LiveVol, a market information services provider, in 2015. BATS Global Markets was purchased for $ 3.2 billion in 2017. The company operates in five segments: options, US stocks, futures , European stocks and Global FX.
