Discovery Inc. Class C (Discovery Communications, Inc) is an American media holding company that operates existing television networks, including: Discovery, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Science Channel, TLC and many others.

The very first brand of the company with which its history began - Discovery Channel was launched in 1985. The company was actively buying up television networks of competitors, including the CBS channel was bought in 1999. In 2011, a joint venture was created with Hasbro, to launch the new children's channel The Hub, three years later, it was completely bought by Discovery. In 2017, the media holding Scripps Networks Interactive was purchased, the deal amounted to $ 14.6 billion.

Following rebranding of Discovery Communications in 2008, Series C common shares on the NASDAQ are traded under the DISCK ticker.
