Visa, Inc — multinational American company offering services in payment, the biggest one of the kind. Its stocks are traded at NYSE and considered in the calculation of Dow Jones Industrial Average. It was established in 1958 along with the Bank of America launching retail credit cards. By the year 1974 the company enters the international market and takes one of the leading positions. In 2007 it was renamed to Visa, Inc., in 2008 it becomes a joint stock company with one of the largest initial public offerings of stocks in history. In operations it prefers targeting dollars as the main trading currency.
